It was what could be absolutely described as a miraculous escape from death as Mr Ohazuruike Chidera Hermes survived a sudden crash into his shop by a vehicle whose driver lost control.
The incident, according to an eye witness account, was said to have occurred around 11.30am on Tuesday (21/4/26) at a shop located beside global FM Radio station, Aguneze Mbaise Imo State, along Owerri – Mbaise road.

The driver of the vehicle who as at the time of this report has been rushed to a nearby hospital was quoted as saying the two font tyres of the vehicle (Siena) got burst, leading to his losing control.
Narrating his experience, the owner of the shop destroyed by the vehicle, Ohazuruike Chidera Hermes, described his escape as humanly unexplainable.

Still shocked by the occurrence, Chidera explained that he was inside his shop before suddenly seeing the vehicle crushing his motorcycle packed in front of his shop before ramming into the shop, destroying wares and the building.
He however thanked God that nobody in the shop or the building died or got wounded.
As at the time of filing the report the vehicle said to belong to a government agency was about being towed to a more secured place.
