A total of 63 newly promoted officers were decorated on Monday by the Abia State Command,
They include 16 who were promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP); 11 officers – from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), and 36 officers from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Presiding over the event held at the Command’s Officers’ Mess Umuahia, CP Danladi Isa, charged the newly promoted officers to continue serving with dedication, and representing the image of the Nigeria Police Force honorably.
Drawing from the adage, “to whom much is given, much is required,” CP Isa emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in their roles.
While cautioning against incivility towards the public, he stressed the need to shun corruption in all forms .
In their speeches, some of the newly promoted Officers expressed their gratitude and pledged to remain professional, Civil, and diligent in their duties.
Hanto Daily News reports that the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abia Police Command, Maureen Chinaka who was promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police was among those decorated.
