Reports from Ebonyi state say luck ran out of Suspected Armed robbers alleged to have been part of the gang terrorizing motorists and commuters along the ever busy Abomeghe/Akpoha axis of the Abakaliki -Afikpo highway this Monday as troops of the Nigeria military killed one and arrested another one.
In a 1min, 46 seconds video circulating on social media as cited by AIT, troops of the Nigerian army were captured with one of the suspected armed robbers while another was seen lying fatally wounded.
When contacted, the Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu was quoted as saying that while he has a sketchy information from the DPO in Abomeghe Area, he cannot authoritatively confirm the incident regarding when and what transpired in the area.
“I’ve not been able to get anything conclusive, the DPO for Abomeghe confirmed getting information on that but doesn’t have details, so I don’t have any details to give.” Ukandu Stated.
