Tinubu deserves a second term, he has made more money available for states – Hon Onuigbo

A two time House of Representative member for Ikwuano Umuahia federal constituency Hon. Sir Sam Onuigbo says president Bola Tinubu’s uncommon courage to stop fuel subsidy regimes and make more money available for the federal government and sub-nationals to tackle infrastructure and other developmental challenges is enough to merit him a second term in office.

Hon. Onuigbo who is the member representing South East Zone on the Board of the North East Development Commission, made the assertion at Abuja, on the sidelines of a gathering of Former Federal Lawmakers wherein they endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and demanded constitutional backing to rotational presidency.

According to him, President Tinubu took over a stormy economic outlook and upon removal of subsidy, Governors in the states are today getting quadruple size of funds than their predecessors to enable them to work for the well being of their people.

“…Again, on the issue of price of fuel, the price of fuel has climbed down, even the fuel sellers are now running promotions to attract people, nobody carries jerry can to run up and down since president Tinubu took office…”

The former federal lawmaker equally noted that the country’s foreign direct investment has surged due to stability and unification of foreign exchange to boost investors’ confidence.

He then explained that it was important that the president continues and consolidates on the achievements being witnessed in the economy and expressed optimism that the majority of Nigerians will give him a chance to get a second term.
