Big trouble now awaits any driver or staff of Dangote Sugar Refinery that eats the company’s sugar cane.
In a memo to staff endorsed by Ikechukwu Okorie, Head of Human Resources, the company described embarking on such an act henceforth as gross misconduct that can attract disciplinary action.
The company sounded it loud and clear that the cane is the company property of great value.
It further expressed worry that staff chew and drop the chaff indiscriminately, thereby disrupting housekeeping efforts.
It therefore reminded staff that the factory is a food industry and that messy housekeeping will not be tolerated.
To this end, it explained that security operatives have been placed on red alert to arrest anyone involved in such actions.
