The speaker Enugu state House of Assembly , Rt Hon Uche C. Ugwu has reiterated his desire to work for the empowerment of Youths through sports development at the grassroots.
Speaking when he met with the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Grass root Boxing Talent Hunt team, Rt Hon Ugwu commended the efforts of the team which has been touring the hinterland for talent discovery.
He expressed confidence that the exercise in Rural Communities of Enugu State which has startedy yielding fruits will blossom.
Speaking Hanto Daily News after the visit, which also attracted the presence of the Member Representing Uzo- Uwani State Constituency and Secretary Action Committee on Sports Literacy and Germany based sports personalities , an Ex-International Boxer and Coordinator of the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Grassroots Boxing Talent Hunt Exercise, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo lauded the speaker for his untiring efforts towards promoting boxing and sports.
Mazi Okoronkwo expressed delight over the interest shown by Youths across the State in the exercise and assured that the future will be brighter .
