In line with the say : he who goes for equity must go with clean hands, Nigeria’s presidency and the All progressives Congress, APC have been ridiculed for its reaction to the call by NDC Presidential Candidate for 2027 election, Peter Obi for president Bola ahmed Tinubu to follow the example of Keir Stammer by resigning from office.
Making an argument on Tuesday while co-anchoring a TV show, Media personality and Arise News popular anchor, Rufai Oseni slammed Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, over a recent attack on the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, Peter Obi.
Oseni recalled how the All Progressives Congress, APC, threatened to form a parallel government during the Goodluck Jonathan government.
He reminded them that the same maladministration that prompted APC’s call in 2014 is currently being witnessed in the Tinubu-led government.
“Was the APC also childish when it called for the resignation of Goodluck Jonathan? What they said Jonathan should resign for has happened under them too.
“This was the same APC that called for a parallel government if they didn’t win the 2015 election. Do you know what parallel government is? That’s anarchy.
“They didn’t only say it, they went to defend it on television. So Obi called for resignation and they said it is puerile,” Oseni retorted.
Recall, Obi had on Monday called on President Tinubu to emulate the U.K. Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, by tendering his resignation, citing the administration’s inability to tackle the nation’s economic and security crisis.
However in his reaction via a statement, Onanuga described Obi’s position as puerile, stating that the former governor of Anambra State is being childish.
