PDP expels Wike, other loyalists including Fayose, Anyanwu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has finally weikded the big stick on some recalcitrant members as it has expelled Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT)and Nine others.

Also among the list of those told to leave the Umbrella party are: Samuel Anyanwu, its suspended national secretary; and Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti.

The rest include: Umar Bature, Ajibade Kamarudeen, Mao Ohabunwa, Uwachukuwu, George Turner, Dan Orbih, Mohammed Abdulrahman, Austin Nwachukwu and Abraham Amah.

Their expulsion which was announced this Saturday at the party’s national convention in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital followed a motion moved by Chief Olabode George, former national vice-chairman of the party (south), and seconded by Samaila Buga, chairman of the PDP in Bauchi.

Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed and chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum who presided put it to a voice vote with all supporting the motion.

The action which has been long expected from the leadership of the PDP following glaring crisis caused by insubordination and selfish acts that led to the factionalization of the party with one loyal to the majority NWC led by Damagum and the BOT under Wabara and the other led by loyalists of Wike anchored by Anyanwu.
