Zone 2 and Umunneochi Stakeholders Converged on Methodist Church Field in Mbala, Isuochi, to conclude the recently initiated Stakeholders Solidarity and Grassroots Mobilization Tour of the council area.
The well-attended event drew top government officials and community leaders from across Umunneochi, in the gathering that truly depicted a strong show of unity and commitment to the progress of the area under the Dr Alex Otti administration.
Dignitaries that graced the colourful event include: Hon. Mathias Ume, Member representing Umunneochi State constituency; Hon Chaka Ikenna Chukwumerije, Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process; Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process; Hon. Sunny Afurobi, Mayor of Umunneochi LGA, Hon. Grace Ibe, Commissioner, House of Assembly Service Commission; Dodo Okafor, SSA Public Communication; Chief Innocent Ejiuwa, Abia Arise Umunneochi LGA Coordinator, among several others.
Addressing the people, the Senior special Assistant to Abia Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu enjoined them to deepen their support for Governor Alex Otti, stressing that the Governor has simplified leadership.
“Such leadership has not been seen since the creation of our dear state. The achievements of this administration in less than 24 months speak volumes,” Dr Chukwu noted.
He described Governor Otti as a symbol of visionary and transparent leadership and challenged all to reject sentiments and stand firmly with a government that delivers.
Dr. Chukwu also lauded the efforts of Chief Sunny Afurobi, the Executive Chairman of Umunneochi LGA in instituting a people- oriented leadership and called for continued support for his administration.
The Due Process Boss further commended the stakeholders who have remained consistent and committed throughout the first round of the tour and made it clear that they are the true strength behind the government’s connection with the people.
In her speech, a commissioner in the Abia State House of Assembly service commission, Lady Grace Ibe thanked Umunneochi stakeholders for taking the lead in grassroots mobilization and appealed for sustenance.
She expressed Joy over the attainments of Governor Alex Otti and expressed confidence that he will be re-elected in 2027.
In a solidarity message, Hon. David Mba, the Councillor representing Amuda Ward of Zone two, Umunneochi, assured the community’s total support for the Dr Otti-led government, describing him as a beacon of hope and transformation.
He also commended Dr. Oluebube Chukwu for his humility, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development, describing him as a bridge between the people and the government.
According to the councillor, “Dr. Oluebube has redefined political representation. He has become a rallying point for young people, elders, and women alike, and we are proud of his efforts in service to the governor and the state.”
