As the second half of 2026, begins, the Nigerian Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA) has unveiled it’s calendar of professional development, membership and institutional activities designed to advance excellence in immigration law and practice in Nigeria.

A release endorsed by the Executive Committee (EXCO)
Nigerian Immigration Lawyers Association (NILA) names the activities to include a three-part virtual Immigration Law and Practice Webinar Series that will examine key developments in Nigeria’s immigration landscape (2025–2026), Membership Orientation Programme for prospective members of the Association, and the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), Policy Roundtable and Induction Dinner.
According to the release, the events will provide a platform for continuing professional development, informed policy dialogue, stakeholder engagement and membership growth, while bringing together regulators, legal practitioners, policymakers, corporate stakeholders, academics and other key actors to shape the future of immigration law and practice in Nigeria.
The release therefore invites immigration lawyers, legal practitioners, government officials, corporate organisations, HR and global mobility professionals, employers of expatriates, academics, researchers, students, prospective members and all stakeholders with an interest in immigration law and migration governance to look forward to be part of the landmark events.
It further encourages all to keep a close watch on the Association’s official communication platforms as programme dates, keynote speakers, registration details and other important announcements will be released in the coming weeks.
