More Than 5,000 Rivers Women Set To Benefit From ₦100,000 Empowerment Support.

The Sir Siminalayi Fubara led administration is determined to rewrite the economic history of the state as no fewer than 5,000 women across Rivers State are set to benefit from the Rivers Women Support Stimulus (RWSS).

Under the programme, a minimum of 200 women from each of the 23 Local Government Areas will benefit with each beneficiary receiving ₦100,000.

According to sources, the support will be extended to market women and non-indigenes resident in the state, to ensure broad-based inclusion.

The empowerment initiative which is being implemented by Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) in partnership with the Governor Siminalayi Fubara-led administration, is part of sustained efforts to uplift vulnerable women and expand economic opportunities at the grassroots.

The intervention is targeted at improving household stability, boosting productivity and reinforcing women’s contribution to community development across Rivers State.

The Rivers Women Support Stimulus further reflects the Fubara administration’s commitment to inclusive, people-centred governance, positioning women as key drivers of social and economic progress.
