LP Senator dumps party, blames unending crisis

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC membership in the National Assembly is on the increase again as the Senator representing Enugu East in the Senate, Kelvin Chukwu has dumped the Labour Party (LP) for the majority party.

The senator who made the disclosure on Wednesday during a town hall meeting at the village market square to brief his constituents on some of his achievements said that the decision to quit the LP was informed by the crisis rocking the party, which he said has seriously affected its members of the party.

While observing further that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was equally currently swimming in a deep mess, the senator pointed out that he had no option than joining the broom party.

According to the Enugu senator, he would formally declare for his new party at the floor of the Senate during plenary when the lawmakers resume.

Senator Chukwu used the forum to appreciate the people for their support since assuming office at the National Assembly and promised not to let them down.
