The kidnappers of a first-class traditional ruler in Kogi State, Oba James Dada Ogunyanda, have demanded a ransom of N100 million.
Oba Ogunyanda who is the Obalohun of Okeydoke was whisked away early Thursday morning from his palace in Okoloke, Yagba West local government by the kidnappers that later called a family member demanding the humongous ransom.

“We are in big trouble. Where will we get N100 million? The kidnappers do not want to negotiate. They hang up the phone quickly when we ask for mercy. They gave us only three days to pay,” the family source said.
The situation has caused fear in the area and indigenes gathered at the palace to pray and ask the government to act fast.
Yaba in recent time has been a notorious abode for kidnappers .
Meanwhile, the Kogi State Police command has confirmed the kidnapping and disclosed that investigations were on, adding that a team of security officers and local vigilantes have started searching for the king and most importantly,get hold of the perpetrators.
