The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru., has passed on.
A statement by one of his Aides, Murtala Diri, said the late speaker died on Monday evening while receiving medical treatment in Cairo, Egypt.
The statement described his death as a major loss to his constituents, the state legislature, the political class, and Kebbi State as a whole.
Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru who represented Zuru Constituency in the Kebbi State House of Assembly and served as Speaker of the 10th Assembly until his death was regarded as one of the leading voices in the state’s legislative arm, where he played a key role in lawmaking and governance.
