Imo Health Insurance Scheme: House member donates N3 Million to register Constituents

The Member Representing the people of Onuimo State Constituency in the Imo State House Of Assembly, Hon Uba James Esile, has announced a donation of three million Naira (N3,000,000) to assist his Constituents access the newly introduced Health insurance scheme In the State.

Hon Esile who announced this on Wednesday, during a meeting of top Government Officials from the council area said the fund will assist over two hundred persons from the Constituency to get enrolled in the programme.

He lauded Governor of  Hope Uzodimma, for introducing the Health Insurance programme in the state, pointing out that it will give the common man access to quality healthcare services.

The Lawmaker who is the House Committee Chairman On Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts,  used the opportunity to urge the people of Onuimo to sensitize themselves and get enrolled in their numbers for the programme, describing it as extremely beneficial.  

He further also challenged them to come up with an accurate framework for securing  lives and property as well as ensuring public facility maintenance.

Hon Esile, while  underscoring the need for collective efforts in tackling  various challenges urged the people to see themselves as part of government by contributing their quota towards the overall wellbeing of their communities.

He commended the Chairman of Onuimo LGA, Hon Emeka Obi, for his giant strides in the area of security and infrastructural facelift at the Local Government headquarters and enjoined  him not to relent.
