Tragedy befell the sleepy village of Umuakam Otulu in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State as a couple, (names withheld) died after preparing and taking a dog meat pepper soup on Monday.
According to a reliable source, the tragedy occurred after the man who allegedly was known for notoriety had earlier killed a dog belonging to a widow and handed over to his wife to prepare the said pepper soup .
The source went further to narrate that the owner of the dog, the widow, who couldn’t challenge the man resorted to calling on God for justice as many people feared delving into the matter.
However, Hanto Daily News gathered that the man met his untimely demise while enjoying the delicacy whereas the wife who allegedly always supported the actions of the husband collapsed and died some minutes after the husband passed on.
According to reports , the corpses have deposited in the mortuary while the development is yet to be comprehended by natives who are not ready to discuss what they likened to an abomination.
