Gov Otti, Rep Aguocha and Assembly member, Chinasa get second term assurance

Residents of Umuahia Central State Constituency have announced the adoption of Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, member representing Ikwuano / Umuahia North/ Umuahia South Federal Constituency, Hon Sir Obi Aguocha and the member for Umuahia Central State constituency, Hon Anthony Chinasa (Abiola) for their second terms come the 2027 general elections.

Announcing the decision during a Stakeholders and Town Hall meeting in World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, the people acknowledged the excellent jobs the trio have executed in the area and enjoined them to keep it up .

In a speech to welcome the two Legislators who were present during the meeting, the Acting President of the group, Kanu Florence, described Hon Obi Aguocha and Hon Anthony Chinasa as the first elected politicians that have returned to demonstrate gratitude and to give account of their stewardships to the Assembly and called for continued synergy, collaboration, respect and action.

Briefing the audience, Hon Aguocha enumerated some of his achievements to include over 1000 scholarships, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship schemes, installation of over 2000 solar street lights, rehabilitation of schools, on going road constructions/ rehabilitation among others

While appealing for unity, support and prayers for those in leadership positions, the National Assembly member described Governor Alex Otti as a leader who has roundly proved his mettle, insisting that the Governor’s signature achievements in the areas of infrastructure, sanitation, education and health remain top notch, commendable and unprecedented since the creation of Abia state.

In his presentation, Honourable Anthony Chinasa enumerated a number of projects executed in collaboration with the Governor, and Representative Obi Aguocha to include provision and attraction of electricity transformers, repairs of boreholes among others in World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia and promised that the trio would install 300 solar street lights, renovate the dilapidated health center and primary school, as well as provide portable pipe borne water and empower twenty (20) youths entrepreneurs including the physically challenged.
