Fr E Dey Work Gathers Adorers For Couples Spiritual Nightclub, Gives Tips For Peace, Unity In Families

The dictum, all works and no play makes Jack a dull boy came to play over the weekend at Canaanland Adoration Ministries, popularly known as E Dey Work as the Spiritual Director/ President, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, gathered over one thousand Adorers for a relaxation moment tagged Couples Spiritual Nightclub.

The event which, held on Saturday night, dovetailing into the early morning of Sunday was initiated to take people away from the usual stressful family activities to relax their nerves with what could be obtained in any quality social gathering that usually sees some husbands staying away from their wives and family in order to catch what they frequently describe as ‘fun’.

The event which started a few years ago has grown in leaps and bounds with this year’s edition held at the Umuoma Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State adoration ground, attracting married couples as well as comedians, entertainers and Disc Jockeys (DJs), was anchored by one of the most popular comedians, known as Chief Imo.

Addressing the Couples during the night, Rev FR Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, known as Fr E Dey Work stressed the need for couples to enthrone peace in their families.

Fr Ebere noted ensuring peace in any relationship requires sacrifice and tolerance by each of the couples.

Extending to the larger family , the Catholic priest pointed out that peace could only be enthroned in a family when every member learns to avoid actions capable of rocking the thriving of peace.

“Peace is invaluable. Be you a father, mother, child, brother or sister, it takes peace to bring about unity and progress in the family .

“It is only when one says no to pride and divisive tendencies and endure pains and insults that peace can reign supreme in the family,” the elated priest stated.

Preaching in a holy mass which coincided with holy Trinity Sunday to round the programme on Sunday morning, Fr E Dey Work challenged couples to be united like the Trinity in order to build unbreakable love in their families.

He therefore enjoined husbands and wives to learn to be considerate while taking decisions affecting their relationships, adding parents must also learn to consider the feelings of their children in all they do.

The spiritual director made it clear that where there is unity in marriage, there will never be any room for any outsider to intrude or scatter such Union with gossip.

“As you go back home this morning, I charge all couples to be considerate in their actions. Once there is unity which brings trust, no third party will gain any opportunity to scatter such a relationship,” he reminded all.

Speaking with Hanto Daily News at the event, the chairman organizing committee, Sir V. C. Ngwu and a member of the committee, Lady Pat Nwachukwu Udaku thanked Fr Ebere for initiating the nerve relaxing event and for assisting the committee in recording a huge success.

Baring their minds, the international president, men of honour of the ministry, Sir Surveyor Reginald Odunze and the international President of the women of destiny of the ministry, Ezinne Chinanuizu described the event as memorable and unique and thanked Fr E Dey Work for granting Adorers such an opportunity to worthily while away time.

In their contributions some notable Adorers including, Chief Sylvester Obasi, Cosmos Okoli, Barrister David Ukpabi, Eze Emmanuel Nwadike
and Mrs Loveth Nwachukwu described the event as the best so far thanked Fr Ebere and the organizers for a job well done.

They pointed out that the presence of comedians and entertainers including the popular Chief Imo as well as the special family guidance by Fr E Dey Work will remain enduring and assured that they will put into practice the teachings of the spiritual director as they return home.

Special features of the mood relaxing ceremony included the practice of unusual home activities such as knotting of Ties on their husbands by wives, Tying of headgears and wrappers on their wives by husbands.

The event witnessed the presence of Adorers from, Imo, Abia Anambra, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Enugu, Ebonyi, Lagos, Abuja among other parts of Nigeria as well as many non-Adorers who attended the ministry’s event for the first time.
