In his efforts to ensure the successful hosting of the 8th Edition of Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Grassroots Boxing Competition , the Coordinator of the Team, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has extended his visits to Udenu and Nkanu West Local Government Areas.
Hanto Daily News gathered that while the Ex – International Boxer discovered 17 boxing talented students in Udenu during his visitation to CSS Obollo Afor, 27 students from CSS Umueze in Nkanu West LGA were screened and selected to represent Nkanu West LGA.
Speaking with Hanto Daily News, Mazi Okoronkwo said the competition which holds at Enugu in December will further boost the desire of the Enugu State Government to guarantee grassroots sports development.
He assured that he will continue to work towards ensuring massive participation of youths in the Programme and called on Local Government Councils to support the effort.
