The Co-ordinator of the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Grassroots Boxing talent hunt and Ex-International Boxer, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has commended Enugu State Governor, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for introducing the smart bus operation in the State.
Speaking with Hanto Daily News after boarding the vehicle for a journey from Emene, located in the outskirts of Enugu to the metropolis, Mazi Okoronkwo noted that the use of the smart vehicle transport systems will help to ease the transportation stress in the city.
While revealing that most of the discovered boxing talents have started to enjoy the new transportation system, the licenced boxing coach likened it to what is obtainable in Europe and USA.
He described the government of Barr Mbah as people oriented and enjoined him not to relent in making the masses the focal point of his administration.
The Ex-International, therefore, challenged Governors in the South East zone to introduce the same structure of smart transportation systems to improve the provision of Democracy dividends and good governance.
He used the forum to appreciate Governor Mbah and the speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Rt Hon Uche C. Ugwu for encouraging Grassroots sports development, pointing out that their support is instrumental to the success of the grassroots boxing talents hunt which has produced many talents.
