The Department of State Services (DSS), Abia State Command, has expressed its commitment to fostering collaboration with the Police to ensure the proper security of the State .
The State Director of the command, Ibrahim S. Abdullahi, who gave the assurance this Friday when led the command to pay a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa at the State Command Headquarters Umuahia, acknowledged the Police as the lead internal security agency.
Abdullahi who recently assumed office as the State Director explained that the purpose of the visit was to deepen interagency relations and enhance synergy between the Police and the Department of State Services.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police and management team, acknowledged the importance of inter-agency collaboration particularly in intelligence gathering and crime prevention.
He therefore assured the delegation of the Command’s willingness to support and partner with the Department of State Services, for the security of the state.
