The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, OACF, has called on Nigerians to challenge stereotypes, break down barriers, and create safe spaces where every girl can thrive.
The Foundation in a release to mark the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child with the theme “She’s not only the future, she’s the present with purpose”, charge all to commit to promoting access, equality and empowerment for every girl.

“Today, we celebrate the strength, intelligence, and limitless potential of every girl. Every girl deserves access to education, healthcare, safety, and opportunities to dream without limits. Too often, girls face barriers that silence their voices, but when we invest in their growth, we unlock change that transforms generations.
“Today, we honor the dreams of girls everywhere, dreams of learning, leading, and living without fear,” the body observed.
It further pointed out that the International Day of the Girl Child is a call to action: to give every girl the chance to reach her full potential.
“When girls are given the tools to succeed, they break cycles of poverty and drive progress in their families and communities,” OACF asserted.
