The management of Abia State University (ABSU), has announced the appointment of new directors to oversee key units of the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.
A release endorsed by the Registrar, Dr Acho Elendu, names the Directors to include Dr Felix Ike – Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Uzoma Nwokochah – Director of the Business Resource Centre (entrepreneurial), Prof. I. C. Nnorum – Director of the Raw Material Research and Development Council, and Prof. Ebere Ugweje – Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance and Ethics.
Others are: Prof (Mrs) C. I. Nwahunanya – Director of Prim and Non-formal Education, Prof A.C Akpanta – Director for the Centre for Remedial Studies, JUPEB, Dr Mrs) Nkeiruka Ogbuokiri – Director Guidance and Counselling, Dr Chidi Mba – Director Community Relations and Corporate Social Responsibilities, Prof Sunday Eze as Director/ Admissions Officer, Dr Peter Uruakpa – Director Lawn, Parks and Gardens, Prof Levi K. Nwokocha – Director for Division of General Studies, and Dr C. P. Nwadinobi – Director Institute for Information and Communication Service.
The rest include: Prof G. A. N Anya – Director Institute for Continuing Education, Prof Amadike Ugbogu – Director of Research and Publication/Central TETFUND Desk Officer, Prof N. O. According to the release, the newly appointed Directors were selected based on their experience, dedication, and track records of service within the university system.
