Abia Police Command commences enforcement of third party insurance policy

The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa has flagged off the Third-Party Motor Insurance as directed by the Inspector General of Police across all states.

Performing the ceremony alongside his management team and State Traffic Officers, CP Isa warned officers attached to the Safer Highway Unit and the State Traffic against unprofessional conduct, extortion, and incivility towards members of the public.

He made it clear that any officer found engaging in such misconduct would face severe disciplinary measures.

The Police Commissioner therefore urged all vehicle owners in the state to ensure they obtain valid Third-Party Insurance to avoid legal consequences.

Hanto Daily News reports that the CP Isa and the team later proceeded to commence enforcement with motorists being asked to present their Third-Party Insurance.
