Abia State government has directed all mechanics and auto spare parts dealers operating along School/Clifford Road, Hospital Road, Jubilee Road, and Azikiwe Road in Aba North, Aba South and Obingwa Local Government Areas to relocate to the Ovom Industrial Mechanic Cluster, Ogbor Hill, on or before 15th October 2025.
Government, in a release endorsed by the Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, Mr Michael Akpara reminds all dealers that the one-year grace period earlier granted at their request elapsed in May 2025.
According to the release, the directive aims to decongest Aba metropolis and ensure a safer, organized, and business-friendly environment for all.
To this end Government therefore enjoins Dealers to comply before the deadline, as enforcement will commence thereafter.
