A former two time member of the House of Representatives for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency and current member representing South East on the Board of North East Development Commission, Rt Hon Sir Sam ifeanyi Chukwu Onuigbo FCIS, FNIM, KJW, will be honoured on Friday (8/8/25) by Nigeria’s first and foremost and largest multidisciplinary professional institute, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), South East-Zone at the Women Development Centre Umuahia.
The event which is part of the two-day 2025 South East Zonal Management Summit that commences on Thursday 7, August, 2025 will be graced by notable members of the Institute and Nigerians from all walks of life.
Chief Sam onuigbo, who had also served as commissioners for Lands and survey as well as Finance in Abia State became a member of this prestigious Institute 43 years ago and has risen through conspicuous contributions to its growth to become a fellow who was inducted in 2012.
The Nigerian Institute of Management, established in 1961, attained charter status through Act 14 of 19 June, 2003 is empowered to control and regulate the practice of the management profession in all its ramifications in Nigeria.
This great Institute has in no small measure helped in capacity building in the areas of management and leadership, human Capital development in the critical sectors of the economy with vital collaboration different private and public organizations in Nigeria, Africa as well as Europe, Asia and America.
