In an avowed determination to take its development work closer to the people, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF), has launched a strategic engagement with Ward Managers across selected zones.
The move is aimed at tightening its grassroots structure and ensure its community programmes deliver real results where they are needed most.
According to the foundation, the initiative coordinated by OACF’s LGA Managers will equip Ward Managers with clearer understanding of the Foundation’s mission, vision, and objectives.
It further states that the engagement seeks to reposition them as the critical link between OACF’s management and communities at the ward level.
In a training session for Ward Managers on effective communication, accurate reporting, and coordination of OACF’s interventions, the Foundation expressed confidence that this will help improve monitoring, feedback, and the delivery of programmes directly to residents.
“This is about building a stronger bridge between our vision and the communities.
“Ward Managers are our eyes and ears on the ground. When they are well informed and coordinated, our impact is deeper and more sustainable,” an OACF Representative pointed out.
The Foundation also described the initiative as part of its broader push for accountability and sustainable development under its guiding principle of “Building Today, For A Better Tomorrow.”
The OACF while revealing more Ward Managers benefit from the training programme in the coming months,also commended LGA Managers for driving the exercise and urged Ward Managers to remain committed as partners in transforming lives across Abia communities.
