The National leader/Founder of ChangeAbia organisation, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba has challenged the newly appointed Directors of the body to preserve the values upon which the organisation was built as well as embrace innovation and new ideas that will expand its impact.

Addressing the inaugural leadership meeting on Sunday night, Ochiagha Ufomba reminded them that ChangeAbia aims to build an organisation that serves as a catalyst for positive change, promoting human dignity, encouraging selfless service, and partnering with governments, the private sector, development partners, and civil society in tackling the challenges confronting society.
“Our vision remains clear: to build an organisation that serves as a catalyst for positive change, promotes human dignity, encourages selfless service, and partners with governments, the private sector, development partners, and civil society in addressing the challenges confronting our communities.
“As leaders, we are custodians of this legacy. Let us lead with integrity, humility, discipline, accountability, and compassion. Let us work as one united family, always placing the interests of the organisation and the people we serve above personal considerations,” he advised.
While reminding them that the Organisation is an incorporated trustee with a proud history of service, established to promote philanthropy, humanitarian interventions, advocacy, strategic partnerships, and sustainable community development, he pointed out that for over three decades, it has remained committed to improving lives, advancing the public good, and providing a platform through which individuals and institutions can work together for the benefit of society.
“Through educational bursaries and scholarships, free medical missions, humanitarian assistance, youth and human capital development programmes, mentorship initiatives, and advocacy for good governance and social justice, we have positively impacted many lives.
“We have also, at different times, supported and facilitated opportunities for competent and deserving individuals to serve in various public offices and positions of responsibility. These accomplishments were achieved quietly, without fanfare, but with an unwavering commitment to service,” Ochiagha Ufomba pointed out.
The National Leader/Founder reminded them of the resolve of the organisation to work with the Labour Party-led administration of Governor Alex Otti in advancing the development of the State, stressing that Abia is moving forward.
He, therefore, congratulated and thanked the appointees for accepting the responsibility to serve and expressed confidence that based on their competence, experience, integrity, commitment, and willingness to serve humanity, they would help strengthen this institution and take it to greater heights.
The National Leader used the forum to appreciate four departed distinguished members of our Board of Trustees including His Royal Highness, Eze Professor Luke Anosike, Chief Okechi Kanu , Engr. A. U. Aji, and Hon. Jude Nwogwugwu for their remarkable and invaluable contributions to the growth and stability of this organisation and prayed God to grant them eternal rest.

They reiterated their readiness to join the National Leader/Founder in supporting the administration of Dr Alex Otti which has in so many ways shown explicit commitment to the development and transformation of Abia State.
