The Coordinator, 9th Edition, Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly State Grassroots boxing Talent Hunt Finals , tagged, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, says the championship remains a key platform for youth development and talent discovery, in line with the state government’s sports agenda.
Mazi Okoronkwo, in a release explained that the tournament tagged “The Roaring Lion Championship”, has become the biggest grassroots boxing platform in Enugu State and expressed confidence that it will yield the desired goal.
“The Roaring Lion Championship has grown to become the biggest grassroots boxing platform in Enugu State. This 9th edition promises to be more competitive and impactful,” the Ex-International assured.
The 9th Edition of the championship slated to hold on on September 30, 2026 will see top grassroots boxing talents from the 17 LGAs of Enugu State compete at PPSMB Headquarters Parliament Hall.
The event which is promoted by l IKEUJ Boxing Promotions in partnership with the Government of Enugu State, will feature the best discovered boxing talents from across the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State who will compete for state honors and for selection to represent Enugu State at national championships.
