The trio including: Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and ex-Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi were according to reports at Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to discuss issues of national importance ahead of the 2027 elections.
Makinde on a post posting on his social media platforms wrote:
“Earlier today, we visited Baba, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR in Abeokuta,” the Oyo governor wrote alongside the photos. “Our discussions centred on important national issues in view of the upcoming general election. We appreciate Baba for his wise counsel at this crucial time in our nation’s history.”
Engr. Makinde who is Currently in his second and final term as Governor of Oyo State left the decimated PDP for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) which he is the party’s presidential flag bearer.
The trio are known to be in political opponents of President Bola Tinubu and their discussions with the former President may likely be a source of worry to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Camp as the elections draw nearer.
