The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has announced the funeral arrangements for his beloved mother-in-law, Ezinne Augustina Ananyenwa Obi (Nee Maduakor), who passed on at the age of 82.
A release personally endorsed by Hon Ogah says a Wake holds on Tuesday, 11th August 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at her Enugu residence, No. 55 Ogbete Crescent, Housing Estate, Abakpa Nike, Enugu.
According to the release, on Thursday, 13th August 2026 another Wake takes at 5:00 p.m. at the Late Pa Philip Ikpeamanweze Obi’s Countryhome, Amankwo Inyi, Oji River LGA, Enugu State.
The release further states that on Friday, 14th August 2026, her body will be Lying-in-State at 9:30 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edmund’s Catholic Church, Amankwo Inyi, Oji River LGA, Enugu State , while Interment takes place immediately after the Mass at her husband’s compound.
It also announces that reception follows at Girls High School, Inyi, while a thanksgiving Mass hold on Sunday, 16th August at St. Edmund’s Catholic Church, Amankwo Inyi at 9am.
The release therefore invites friends, political associates, constituents, well-wishers, and the general public to join the Obi and Ogah families in celebrating the remarkable life and legacy of Ezinne Augustina Ananyenwa Obi while praying for the peaceful repose of her soul.
