Following the merging Controversies over the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise Scheme, there are indications that FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, may within a few days be resigning from office.
Reports from the UK Times say the development follows Infantino’s failed plot to sell a stake in the World Cup to private investors, which he could have profited from.
The “FIFA Forward Enterprise” scheme, was roundly opposed by other governing bodies including UEFA, CONCACAF, among others.
According to UK Times, although the FIFA Boss is desperate to continue in the role, support for him is slowing ebbing away.
A source claimed Infantino is a “dead duck”, with his opponents already lining up candidates as his successor.
The 56 year old FIFA Helmsman has been on the saddle since 2016.
