Grassroots Boxing Talent Hunt & State Finals 2026, tagged ‘Roaring Lion Boxing Championship, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo says thechampionship is part of the state’s Youth Empowerment and Action Committee on Sports Literacy initiative.
The Ex-International Boxer who disclosed this in an interview with Hanto sports said the event slated to hold on 30th september, 2026 is sponsored by the Enugu State Government
in partnership with
Ikeuj Boxing Promotions .
While assuring that all is now set for the Grassroots Talent Hunt programme at Parliament Hall, PPSMB, Enugu, he made it clear that the event will kick off at
11 AM.
On the benefits of the programme, maxi Okoronkwo pointed out that top athletes selected from the grassroots boxing fiesta will represent Enugu State at the National event.
He assured Governor Peter Ndubisi Mba, Speaker Uche C. Ugwu and Local government Chairmen of the coal city state that their efforts will not be in vain and commended for their patriotic efforts.
