Abia Govt To Empower 17,000 Farmers As It Flags Off Farmers’ Input Support Programme

ABIA STATE GOVT TO FLAG OFF FARMERS’ INPUT SUPPORT PROGRAMME, EMPOWER OVER 17,000 FARMERS

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, will on Friday 10/7/26 flag off the Abia state Farmers’ Inputs Support Programme, a landmark initiative aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, enhancing food security, and improving the livelihoods of farmers across the state.

The programme which is being executed through the ministry of Agriculture and themed, “Improved Inputs, Increased Yields, Sustainable Prosperity for Farmers,” will empower over 17,000 farmers with critical agricultural inputs to increase crop yields, improve farm productivity, and drive sustainable economic growth in the agricultural sector.

A release endorsed by Prince Okey Kanu, Commissioner for Information outs the venue at Umuahia Township Stadium, Umuahia while time is 9AM .

The release states that the effort reaffirms his administration’s unwavering commitment to transforming agriculture into a major driver of economic prosperity, job creation, and food sufficiency in Abia State.

While explaining that the programme will be hosted by the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Cliff Agbaeze, the release invites members of the farming community, agricultural stakeholders, development partners, traditional rulers, community leaders, and the general public to witness this significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of Abia State’s agricultural sector.
