In an effort to ensure its environmental sustainability campaign, the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, OACF, on Saturday, 26/6/26, conducted another successful monthly environmental sanitation exercise across five Local Government Areas of Abia North Senatorial Zone.
The exercise which brought together scores of volunteers and community leaders took place at different locations in Bende, Ohafia, Arochukwu, Umunneochi, and Isuikwuato Local Government Areas of the state to clean public spaces and promote a healthier environment.

In Bende LGA, volunteers carried out their duty along the Amakpo Iyi Ntaoba Road in Igbere Ward B under the supervision of the LGA Manager, Hon. Nwagbara Godswill Evans, and the Ward Coordinator, Hon. Udensi Agbai Ezekiel.

At Ohafia, the exercise which took place along Jehovah Witness Road, behind Afia Nkwo in Elu Community, Isiama Ward of Ohafia LGA was coordinated by the LGA Manager, Comrade Best Nwoke, with support from community leader Emeka Agwu Ekpu.
The Chairman of the Elu Ohafia Development Union Home Branch, Chief Okoro Udensi, visited the site alongside members of his executive, while residents commended the OACF for its commitment to environmental cleanliness.

In Arochukwu LGA, where no fewer than 50 participants turned out for the sanitation exercise at Amasu in Arochukwu Ward One, the exercise was coordinated by the LGA Manager, Enyinnaya Uyor, in collaboration with Ward Coordinator John Chima.
Another impressive turnout was recorded in Umunneochi LGA where volunteers cleaned the Ogwumabiri Daily Market Square in Obinolu–Obiagu Lomara Ward under the supervision of the LGA Manager, Uwey Onyemachi, and the Ward Chairman, Chibuike Egbu.
For Isuikwuato LGA, the Foundation mobilised over 40 youths to clean the Ekebe Route in Eluama, extending to the Nkwonta Route under the direction of the LGA Manager, Mr. Anyachi Ndubuisi, and the Isuamamu Ward 4 Coordinator, Mr. Ebuka Eloagu.

Speaking after the exercise, the Ekebe Youth Chairman, Mr. Chukwunomso Kingsley, praised the founder of the Foundation, Dr Oluebube A. Chukwu and members for encouraging youth participation in environmental sanitation and community development.
Hanto Daily News reports that the continued success and expansion of the exercise across the five LGAs highlights the OACF’s growing grassroots impact in promoting environmental responsibility through consistent community engagement and volunteer participation.
