A group, Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS), has lauded President Bola Tinubu, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for the recent peace made with the state governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
In a statement by the group’s convener, Amaopuorubo Sotonye Toby Fulton on Monday in Port Harcourt, the women said they are happy with the fatherly role played by President Tinubu, which the group said “helped prove naysayers wrong, and has restored our dear Rivers State on the path of peace, and fresh economic prosperity.”
According to the group, “The effort of our dear President in brokering this fresh peace is commendable. We deeply appreciate President Tinubu for setting the tone for our political leaders to graciously accept to work together and embrace sustained peace for the good of our dear Rivers State.”
The group further congratulated the FCT minister for the conduct of council elections in the Federal Capital Territory and applauded his efforts in transforming the landscape of the FCT.
