Traders, Community Leaders laud Oluebube Chukwu Foundation for consistently keeping local markets clean

Traders and community leaders in Ngodo, Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, have eulogized members of Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation for choosing the popular market in the area, Orie Ngodo as their focal point for the September environmental sanitation exercise.

Speaking on Saturday during the exercise at the market that attracts traders from the neighbouring Imo and Anambra states they noted that the choice of Orie Ngodo for the exercise will not only improve the sanitary condition of the market but will make it attractive to non-indigenes.

They thanked the initiator of the foundation , Dr Oluebube Chukwu for establishing it, pointing out that the foundation’s dedication has set a positive example that should be emulated by other groups and individuals committed to grassroots transformation.

Addressing the participants, a community leader, Elder Madu Onyebueke, commended the group’s commitment and selflessness in improving the sanitary condition of the market, adding that such efforts contribute to both public health and community pride.

In their speeches some of the traders described the effort as timely and impactful, adding that the clean-up has not only boosted the overall outlook of the market, but has also helped in sensitising the public on the need for personal and collective responsibility in maintaining a healthy environment.

Expressing her feelings, a female trader, Mrs Lucio Orji noted with delight the transformation brought by the exercise and appreciated the foundation for the gesture and pledged to remain part of the movement.

Hanto Daily News reports that the exercise witnessed a large turnout of members of the foundation who diligently participated in the clean up exercise that also attracted the presence of some natives and traders

Recall, the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation which has consistently driven community-oriented programmes aimed at improving public health, sanitation, and development across Umunneochi and beyond has taken the clean-up exercise to different zones of Umunneochi LGA.
