The President/Spiritual Director Canaanland Adoration Ministries, A. K. A. E Dey Work, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, has called on Nigerians, particularly, the business community to shun soddy deals in their transaction in order to secure their future.
Preaching during the weekly adoration held at Canaanland Adoration ground at Umuoma Onicha, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, Rev fr Ebere popularly known as Fr E Dey Work reminded them that being honest and straight forward in business transactions will not only result in trust by customers but will also guarantee lasting expansion.
Dwelling on Integrity as a major key to profitable connection, the Catholic Priest stressed the need for people to embrace integrity in their conducts, describing it as the highest currency in the world.
Integrity dignifies a man. A man of integrity attracts people to himself. A man of integrity is a carrier of value. Integrity is a door opener.
” Integrity is the cornerstone of the future that will last. Without integrity, nothing lasts, even with the highest connection,” he warned.
While enjoining the business men not to betray the confidence reposed in them by their customers, Fr E Dey Work made it clear that any money secured through crooked ways does not last and urged them to desist from fraudulent activities.
” You recall those of them involved in 419 and fraudulent activities in the 1980s and 1990s. Where are they today? Where are their investments despite the larger than lifestyle they were known for,” the Catholic priest asked the congregation.
He therefore challenged Adorers engaged in business, to distinguish themselves from the crowd by making their enterprises a reference point for honesty, truthfulness, transparency and quality services.
” If you have a petrol station, ensure that your metre is not adjusted fraudulently but work making your filling stations a point of reference as one that the pump price and metre of the required standard.
Dishonesty, crookedness, can bring moments of gratification and enjoyment but will never last, Fr Ebere pointed out.
