First set of Nigerians deported courtesy of Trump’s controversial immigration policy leave the US

As the Trump administration insists on deporting some non citizens from the United States of America, under President Donald Trump’s immigration clampdown, the first set of Nigerians marked for deportation has left God’s own Country.

The deportees numbering 13 Nigerians and a citizen of Gambia according to Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, disclosed this to reporters in Accra arrived in Ghana before being sent back to their home countries.

President Mahama revealed that the Nigerians have already been sent back by bus to Nigeria while the Gambian national is being aided to return home.

According to him, Ghana reached an understanding with Washington to accept West African nationals deported from the US.

“We were approached by the US to accept third-party nationals who were being removed from the US. And we agreed with them that West African nationals were acceptable. All our fellow West African nationals don’t need visas to come to our country,” he explained.
