There are indications that full reconciliation among the warring parties, particularly the godfather and son, in the Rivers State political crisis have started yielding positive fruits.
Reported from the oil- rich city of Port Harcourt say the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, appeared together this Saturday(28/6/25) at the burial ceremony of Wike’s uncle, Elder Temple Omezurike Onuoha, in Rumuepirikom, Rivers State.
According to reports, the courageous and outspoken Minister and his successor sat together at the event that attracted mainly the followers of the godfather.
Recall, two days ago, (on Thursday), President Bola Tinubu brokered peace between Governor Simi Fubara, Nyesom Wike and members of the State House of Assembly.
In a chat with journalists after the closed-door peace meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Wike confirmed that both sides had reached a final resolution to end months of political hostilities.
