The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF), has reiterated that when society invests in the girl child, it results in stronger families, thriving communities, and a brighter future for everyone.
OACF in a statement titled ‘ She is not just the future, She is the power of Today’, to mark this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, made it clear that no girl should be held back by inequality, limited opportunities, or the belief that her voice does not matter.
“Every girl deserves more than a chance to dream. She deserves the education to learn, the freedom to speak, the support to grow, and the opportunity to turn her dreams into reality.
“When we invest in girls, we invest in stronger families, thriving communities, and a brighter future for everyone.
“No girl should be held back by inequality, limited opportunities, or the belief that her voice does not matter,” the foundation pointed out.
According to the statement, the OACF is using this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, to celebrate every girl’s potential, courage, creativity, and limitless possibilities.
The foundation therefore enjoined all to stand together to protect girls, champion their rights, promote quality education, and create safe spaces where every girl can learn, lead, and thrive.
While wishing the girl child happy celebrations, it declared, “….. when we empower a girl, we empower a generation.”
