The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa on Friday 10/07/2026, inaugurated the Nneato Divisional Police Station in Umunneochi Local Government Area, a facility built by the community.
Performing the ceremony, CP Danladi expressed appreciation to the community for their thoughtfulness and commitment to enhancing security in their community through the building of the facility for the Police.
He sued for continued support to the Police by fostering collaboration and volunteering timely and useful information, as well as promptly reporting security concerns.
The Police Commissioner noted that while officers must remain accountable in the discharge of their duties, the public must refrain from taking laws into their hands.
CP Danladi therefore warned that attacks on police personnel or facilities will not be tolerated and charged anyone whose rights are infinged upon to report to appropriate channels, such as the Complaint Response Unit of the Command and the Office of the Commissioner of Police.
He however called on officers posted to the new Division, to remain professional, efficient, and accountable in the discharge of their duties as well as strengthen community policing efforts by working closely with members of the community to ensure proactive and intelligence-driven policing.
The CP sounded it loud and clear that acts of unprofessional misconduct will not be tolerated, and enjoined them to respect Human Rights while discharging their statutory duties.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including community leaders, youth leaders, traditional rulers and officers posted to the new Division.
