The Mayor umunneochi LGA, Chief Sunny Afurobi has assured that a Garri processing mill will be established in Obinolu Ngodo Isuochi immediately the community provides a site for the project.
Speaking when he visited the area as part of his visit to the Obinolu Obiagu Lomara ward , Chief Afurobi said the decision to establish the project there is to guarantee good safety.
He commended the community for the support they have been giving to both the state and local governments and enjoined them not to relent.
The council Mayor also assured that his administration will make its present felt more in Lomara community as part of his measures of ensuring equitable distribution of infrastructure.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the interim chairman Obinolu Town Development union,Ver Rev Israel and the secretary, Hon Chigozie Egbu expressed joy for the decision to site the project in the area and assured that they would provide the land without delay.
They however appealed to the Mayor to use his good offices in addressing the menace herdsmen in their farmlands and environment to encourage serious farming .
They further pledged their continued support to the state and Local government authorities.
