In his effort to lubricate the engine of governance in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved the appointment of a new Secretary to the Rivers State Government and a new Chief of Staff at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The announcement made on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi named Dagogo Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government and Sunny Ewule as the new Chief of Staff.
According to the statement, the swearing-in ceremony for the two officials would take place at 2pm same Thursday at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The new Secretary to the State Government Dagogo Wokoma replaces Benibo Anabraba, while the new Chief of Staff Sunny Ewule takes over from Edison Ehie.
Recall, Governor Fubara had recently dissolved his cabinet, which included eight commissioners, and also relieved all his Special Advisers of their duties.
